White... chocolate... mousse...mmmmmmmm

White chocolate mousse

From the series "I need a Sunday dessert, quickly".
And this time I found a perfect recipe for a delicious, quick, delicate and really elegant dessert.
Excellent not only when you're craving something sweet, but don't want to slave in your kitchen all day, but also perfect as an after dinner dessert that will not make you feel too full to breath.

White chocolate mousse

I immediately liked this recipe, because of the shortest ingredients list ever, for one, and because it didn't involve eggs like most other mousse recipes. And yet the result was a creamy, delicately fluffy, and above all melting texture.
Be my guest, help yourselves ^_^

White chocolate mousse

White Chocolate Mousse

150 g / 5.3 oz (good quality) white chocolate
320 ml / 1 1/3 C heavy cream
4 g / 0.14 oz  leaves gelatine

+ decoration:
100 g / 3.5 oz  dark chocolate
or fruit sauce (e.g. raspberry)
20-30 g / 1 oz  white chocolate

Soak the gelatine leaves in cold water for 10 minutes.
Chop the white chocolate finely using a knife.
Put 120 ml (1/2 C)  of heavy cream into a small saucepan and warm it up (almost to a boiling point). Lower the heat to minimum and add the chopped chocolate and stir or whisk until the chocolate's completely melted.
Remove from heat and add the gelatine leaves (squeeze them well). Stir well for the gelatine to melt completely.
Whip the remaining cream until firm and mix it gently with the cooled chocolate cream.
Pour the mousse into 6 glasses or cups and let set in the fridge for at least 2 hours.
You can decorate the mousse as you like, melt some dark chocolate and pour over the mouse or serve with some fruit sauce (raspbery sauce would be heaven if you ask me), or white chcolate shavings.

White chocolate mousse

White chocolate mousse

Mousse od bijele cokolade

150 g bijele čokolade
320 ml slatkog vrhnja (svježeg)
4 g želatine u listićima (2 listića od 2 g)

za ukras:
100 g tamne čokolade
20-30 g bijele čokolade
voćni umaka (npr. od malina)

Namočite želatinu 10 minuta u hladnoj vodi.
Nasjeckajte sitno čokoladu nožem. Zagrijte 120 ml vrhnja, dodajte čokoladu i miješajte na niskoj temperaturi dok se čokolada sasvim ne otopi i smjesa postane glatka i ujednačena. Maknite s vatre i dodajte ocijeđene omekšale listiće želatine. Izmiješajte dobro da se želatina sasvim otopi.
Umutite mikserom preostalo slatko vrhnje.
Otopite tamnu čokoladu i ulijte preko stvrdnute kreme.
